Elizabeth "Betty" Caldwell, 85, of St. Simons Island Ga., died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022.

Betty is survived by her husband, Jack Caldwell; sons, John and Cliff Caldwell; daughter, Kimberly Caldwell; grandchildren, Thomas and Allyson Caldwell, and daughters-in-law, Laarni Caldwell and Laura Caldwell.

Betty pursued a lifelong love of the arts, particularly in the watercolor medium. She illustrated two children's books, covers for Great Southern Publishers, Glynn County Newcomers Guide, Grand Strand Newcomers Guide, Seabreeze Magazine, Glynn Art Association calendars, and had a one man show at Glynn Art Association.

Betty earned a M. Ed. Counseling Practicum from Georgia Southern College, Statesboro Ga. She was a friend of Bill for over 40 years and devoted to the local recovery community.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Betty be sent to Glynn Visual Arts, on St. Simons Island.

Golden Isles Cremation Center/Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is honored to have assisted the family.
