Elouise Thrower Stuckey, 79, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at the Southeast Georgia Health System of Brunswick. Elouise enjoyed cooking, cleaning, nurturing and making a home for her family all throughout her life. She really enjoyed dancing (aka "juking"), collecting dolls and her favorite movie was Cinderella. A lover of animals, she truly loved her canine babies including Michelle, Marquita, Cocoa, Lucky and her cat, Smokey. Elouise was a member of Norwich Baptist Church where she was actively involved on the Young at Heart and Grievance committees, as well as, volunteering at the church's thrift store, Helping Hand. Elouise is survived by her husband, William Frank Stuckey; son, Chuck Thrower (Krystal) of Brunswick; daughters, Sandra T. Helton (Michael) of Brunswick, Diane T. Shadron (Charlie) of Brunswick, and step-daughter, Patti S. Chandler of Atlanta; brothers, Junior Kirkland (Hiroko) of Tampa and Billy Kirkland (Dallas - deceased) of Brunswick; 6 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 4 great-stepchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. Thrower; parents, Nellie and Harry Kirkland; brother, Eugene Kirkland; step-daughters Carol S. Thorn Hosey; Frankie S. Talley Knight. A graveside service will be held 3:00 pm Friday, October 23, 2015 at Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Ernie Stuckey officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
