Ernest "Ernie" Lee Kennedy, 78, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away on April 1, 2025. He was born on December 23, 1946, to the late Chester Kennedy and Isabell Wyath in Washington, Pennsylvania.

After completing high school, Ernie joined the US Navy where he attended college classes and served in Vietnam. Afterwards, he married the love of his life, Essie Mae Kennedy, and found work as a sheet metal mechanic.

Ernest is remembered by those closest to him for his immense love for and dedication to his family. He was a big personality who always found a way to make those around him laugh. When he wasn't working, Ernie could often be found with a beer in hand, watching his Steelers play, spending time with his beloved Baby Dolls (1, 2, and 3), and living life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Kennedy and Isabell Wyath; a daughter, Sherry Jones; and a grandson, Mathew Spradlin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Essie Mae Kennedy; his sons, Jeff, Little Ernie, and Robert; daughters, Cindy and Becky; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Tracy, and Zachary; and his great-grandchildren, Zaine, Delylah, MJ, and Scarlet.

A visitation will be held at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home on April 4, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
