Fedencio 'Tony' Antonio, 88, of Brunswick passed away January 16th at his residence. He lived here for 50 years and was retired from the U.S. Navy after 23 years of service. He was stationed at NAS Glynco, he received 4 Good Conduct Metals, the National Defense Service Metal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Metal and the Navy Expeditionary Metal. He worked with the Glynn County Police Department retiring there after 20 years. Tony was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years, also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, the Elks Lodge, the G.I.F.A., and multiple bowling leagues. He loved to dance, sing and bowl. Tony loved people and never met a stranger. Funeral services to be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors Rev. Dr. Peter Vivenzio and Rev. Dr. Larry Boyette officiating. Visitation will be Monday night from 6 to 8 PM in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Clara L. Antonio of Brunswick; 3 sons, Steve Antonio of Brunswick, Terry (Brenda) Antonio of Brunswick and Dale (Gloria) Antonio of Guyton; a sister, Ligaya Fermin of Manila, Philippines; a brother, Baltazar Antonio of Manila, Philippines; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Baity of Brunswick; grandchildren Mitzi Antonio, Jessica Antonio, Trent Antonio and Andrea Drescher; one great grandchild, Sawyer Antonio Ferri; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be sent to Calvary Baptist Church. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is serving the family of Fedencio 'Tony' Antonio.
