Florence Carolyn Beard, 60, of Saint Simons Island, died Monday at Hospice of the Golden Isles. She had been here since 1993 coming from Augusta, Ga. and was a homemaker. She is survived by 2 sons, Lee Tiller of St. Simons Isl., and Brent Tiller (Paige) also of St. Simons Island. A sister, Ann Creamer of Augusta, a brother, Dr. Byron Beard of Pueblo West, Colo, and a granddaughter, Rebecca Michelle Tiller of St. Simons Isl. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
