Obituary

Florence Henderson Campbell McDaniel , 89, passed away October 17th, 2019. Florence lived a rich and fruitful life. Born in Schlatterville, Georgia January 6th 1930 to Tom and Ethel Lee Henderson, she was the 6th of 9 children. She started school at age 5 and acquired excess curriculum credits allowing her to skip 10th grade upon relocating to Brunswick with her parents who were employed at the shipyard during the war. She attended Glynn Academy High School and graduated as Salutatorian of her class of 1946. She married Charles C. Campbell, a USN veteran on June 1st 1949. They raised 6 children before eventually retiring in Brunswick. GA. They were married for 37 years until his passing. Florence pursued her desire to become a registered nurse and graduated from nursing school in 1974. She was employed by the Glynn Brunswick Memorial Hospital and eventually became a private duty nurse. Some years after her husband's passing, she married again to the second love of her life, Hoke McDaniel, adding his children to make a large combined family who they always loved and supported. They were married for 25 years enjoying their retirement years. She enjoyed making ceramics, sewing, cooking, canning fruits and vegetables, singing and playing the guitar and especially spending time with family. She always gave thanks to her Lord and Savior in every chapter of the life He gifted to her. To celebrate her life are her children, Charles Michael Campbell, Donna McDaniel(Terry), Nancy Boyne (Bob), Cindy Vachon (Wayne), Charlene Kell (Joe), Brenda Vashaw (Dan), and his children, Terry McDaniel(Donna), Donna Zaenglein (Danny), Vicki Haddock (Dennis) and Dean McDaniel (Teresa). She has 24 grandchildren who all agree that Nana genuinely loved each of them like they were her favorite. She was blessed with 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren Her cherished surviving brother is Roy Henderson. She left many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she loved with all her heart. Special thanks and gratitude is extended to Hospice of Brunswick and their dedicated doctors, nurses and staff on behalf of the Campbell/McDaniel family. Visitation will be 10/23/2019 @ 10am Funeral Service 10/23/2019 @ 11am Graveside Service 10/23/2019 immediately following At Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery and Funeral Home 4407 US Highway 17 North Brunswick, GA 31525 A luncheon will be from 12:30-2:30 at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Mansfield and Union St. in Brunswick , GA 31525
