Frank L. Herring, 52, of Brunswick died Monday at Shands Jacksonville from injuries sustained in a motor-vehicle accident. Mr. Herring was a lifelong resident of Brunswick and had been employed as a CSX Railroad Police Officer. He was a member of the local chapter of Civitan International and deeply loved his family. *He is survived by his father, Dan Herring of Brunswick; one son, Tanner Herring of Fayetteville, NC; two daughters, Heather M. Ryals and Emma Herring, both of Brunswick; two sisters, Gwen Miller of St. Mary''s and Carla Herring of Brunswick; six brothers, Daniel Herring of Oklahoma, Michael Herring of St. Simons Island, Eddie Redfern of Brunswick, David Redfern of Davenport, FL and Jay Redfern and Ronnie Williams, both of Darien; five grandchildren: Taylor Cooper, Morgan Cooper, Kirsten Ryals, Sonny Ryals and Scarlet Partin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by Otis 'Buddy' Redfern. Active pallbearers are: Pat Starke, Rudy Nichols, Harry Quarterman, Joey Davis, Eddie Logger and Richard Gregory. Honorary pallbearers are the employees of CSX Railroads.
