Fred L. Grimes, 86, of Brunswick passed away Sunday at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital in Savannah. He was a retired electrician, and served in the United States Merchant Marines. Mr. Grimes was the son of the late Eli Grimes and Florence Thornton Grimes. Mr. Grimes is survived by 4 sons, David Grimes, Keith Grimes, Michael Grimes Sanders, and Robert Grimes; 3 daughters, Linda Felts, Brenda Coker, and Pamela Leggett. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Jones officiating. Interment to follow in Chapel Park Cemetery with military services held there as well. Visitation will be held Tuesday night from 6 to 8 P.M. in the chapel of the funeral home.
