Gary A. Wade, age 81, loving husband if Ginger Wade, big brother to Bruce, Mark, and Keith, was born in Akron, Ohio on June 27, 1945, and passed away in Brunswick, Georgia on September 27, 2026. Gary graduated from Coventry High in Akron where he enjoyed playing football.

Gary's adult life was centered around the love of his family, pets and service to his community and country. Gary served in the US Army defending his country. After his tour of duty was over, he joined the Akron Police Department and did an outstanding job serving the people of Akron.

Upon retiring from the Police department, he worked for the Federal Government in Brunswick teaching defensive driving skills. 

In his later years, Gary could be found on the local golf courses enjoying rounds of golf with friends. He greatly enjoyed working with Ginger gardening and creating a beautiful yard.

Along with Ginger, he spent many hours working to restore a local cemetery in Brunswick where many veterans are buried.

But maybe the thing he enjoyed the most was going on rides with Ginger and sharing picnic lunches near the ocean.

A memorial service will take place on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. with a visitation for friends and family thirty minutes prior.
