George R. Chavous, 64, of Brunswick, GA passed away on November 6, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tonya Loper Chavous. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carolyn and Henry "Chief" Chavous, Jr. George was an avid NASCAR fan and favored driver, Chase Elliott. He also enjoyed working on golf carts. After his father passed away, George took over their golf cart business. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, George is survived by his children, Todd Chavous and Tara Kelly (Addison); four grandchildren, Brayson and Logan Chavous, Chloe Woodcock, and Ava Kelly; a brother, Henry "Pete" Chavous III (Pam); and a sister, Barbara "Bunny" Miller (Ed); and numerous nieces and nephews. A drop-in visitation/memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel.
