George Henry O'Neal Jr., 90, of Brunswick passed away February 12th at his residence. He was a longtime resident of Brunswick, and was retired from Brunswick Pulp & Paper Company after 44 years of service. He was a member and a deacon at Glyndale Baptist Church for 54 years. Funeral Services will be held Monday at Glyndale Baptist Church at 11:00 A.M. Entombment to follow in the Brunswick Memorial Park Mausoleum. Pastor Ken Creekmore officiating. Visitation to be held Sunday night from 5 to 7 P.M. in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Survivors include 2 sons, Larry (Jonva) O'Neal of Mint Hill, N.C., and David (Debbie) O'Neal of Picayune, MS.; a daughter, Ruby Thompson of Waycross; a brother, Carl O'Neal of Brunswick; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his wife, Viola, a sister, Eddie Mae Galbreath, and a grandson, Shane Thompson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, and/or The Glyndale Baptist Church.
