Gertrude Mallard Glenn (Pat), 84, of Crescent, GA, died Thursday at Gracemore Nursing Home in Brunswick. She was born in Jacksonville Florida on February 3, 1923 to Joseph Bond Mallard, Sr. and Gertrude Mallard Patterson. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, FL. Pat was partner in business with her husband, Frank, of 64 years, but most of all a homemaker, living most of her life on Baisden's Bluff at Crescent. She was a member of the St. Andrews Parrish Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Pat enjoyed family life with Frank and their five sons and their friends. Her passion was seeing that everyone was happy and well fed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank and her sister, Emily Acree of Jacksonville, FL. She is survived by sisters Mary Anne Batten and Irene Slater, both of Jacksonville, FL and a brother Joe Mallard, Jr. of Crescent, GA. and five sons, Paul Glenn (Cathy), Darien, GA, Tom Glenn (Teri), Flowery Branch, GA, Steve Glenn (Mary), Roebuck, SC, Jeff Glenn (Minet), Crescent, GA, and Bill Glenn, Sneads Ferry, NC. Pat was affectionately known as 'Mom Pat' to her nine grand children and eight great Grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren Hunter Glenn, Shannon Smith, Luke Glenn, Frank Glenn, Jr., Charlie Glenn, Ryan Glenn , Zac Glenn, Steven Glenn and Savanna Glenn and the great grand children, Lindsey Glenn, Logan Glenn, Dalton Smith, Noah Glenn, Thomas Glenn, Joe Glenn, Charlie Glenn, and Tatum Glenn. Additionally, Honorary pallbearers are the staff of Gracemore Nursing Home. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19 at the First Presbyterian Church of Darien with Minister Danny Grace officiating, with a reception immediately following at the church. A private family inurnment will be held at Saint Andrew's Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you make donations to the First Presbyterian Church of Darien Georgia. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Brunswick Memorial Park Cemeteries and Funeral Home and the Golden Isles Cremation Society.
