Gregory Stephen Sorrow

On June 5, 2024, Gregory S. Sorrow, 70 entered his heavenly home surrounded by friends and family. Greg left a legacy of kindness and generosity, whether in time or resources (or both).

Greg was born in 1953 in the old Brunswick Hospital to Ann and Noble W. Sorrow, a "preemie" at 4 lbs. Both parents are now deceased but were at heaven's gates waiting for him! Greg is survived by his sister, Rebecca Wahl, Augusta, GA.; many cousins in North Georgia and Savannah, and one ornery but loving feline, Cody.

After graduating from Georgia Southern College in 1975 with a degree in Finance, he worked in Atlanta in banking and with In Touch Ministries as an Inventory Manager. On returning to Brunswick, Greg excelled in Customer Service and Materials Management at Wal-Mart and Charlton Memorial Hospital in Folkston.

In his leisure time, visiting the mountains was his favorite get-a-way. Almost every fall he, his sister, and dad went to the mountains around Helen and Blairsville, taking pictures and eating at the "Hole in the Wall" restaurant in Blairsville. Precious memories!

A celebration of life for Greg will be held Thursday, July 18th, 2024, at 12:00 noon at the Brunswick campus of Community Church (Glynn Place Mall). In lieu of flowers please make any contributions in Greg's memory to Map International, 4700 Glynco Pkwy.
