**SERVICE HAS BEEN POSTPONED TO SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19, 2024 DUE TO THE THREAT OF HURRICANE MILTON

Gussie Lucille Brown, 81, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away on September 26, 2024, at Hospice of the Golden Isles with her family by her side. Born on October 25, 1942, to the late James Baker and Jessie Jackson, she was a life-long resident of Brunswick.

Gussie is remembered as a simple woman who was content with her life. A deeply loving mother and grandmother, she valued spending time with her family above all else. She loved to eat good food, especially food she did not have to prepare herself, and had quite the sweet tooth – Gussie never failed to have a little something sweet with her morning coffee!

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Baker and Jessie Lee Williams.

She is survived by her sons, Bobby Lee Hart, Jr. (Michelle), Frank Brown, and Christopher Brown; grandchildren, Bobby Lee Hart III, Ebonee Jewell Hart, and Frank Brown III; siblings, Claude Williams (Esther), Clyde Williams, and James Baker, Jr; as well as several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Mrs. Gussie's son, Frank, who dedicated his life to assisting his mother and being by her side at all times.
