Henry Lozier Condon III, of Saint Simons Island, Ga. passed away peacefully at home on August 18, 2021, at the age of 77, after a long battle with throat cancer.
Hank studied Physics at the University of Alabama and then went to Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama for his military service. He worked in many different fields before becoming an owner/co-owner in the parts and heavy equipment industry in Louisville, Kentucky. He built a house on Saint Simons Island in 2006, making St Simons his home in 2008. Hank married Carmenza (Sophia) on July 24, 2009.
Hank was born on October 18, 1943, as the oldest child of Mattie Lou Grubbs and Henry Lozier Condon II. His father died tragically in duty as an Ace Fighter Pilot, the youngest Squadron Commander in the Pacific Campaign.
He is survived by his wife Carmenza Condon; his half-brothers, Stan Clark from San Destin, Fl, and Buddy Clark from Dothan, Al; daughters Elizabeth Ann Hilsabeck, (grandchildren Sara and Parker), Debbie Goodman (Eric), (granddaughters Morgan and Mackenzie), and Melanie Ford.
Hank enjoyed mentoring new businesspeople during his career. He played golf, was an avid runner, bike rider, and wrote science fiction. He had a generous heart and contributed to charities locally and internationally. He was a member of Saint Simons Island AA.
A funeral service will be held at Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica on August 28 at 11:00 am.
