Ina W. "Pat" Brown, 91, of Brunswick GA, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024, at Hospice of the Golden Isles.

She was born on May 2, 1932, in Brunswick to the late Ashley Woods and Aline Tippins Woods. Pat graduated from Glynn Academy in 1950. She played basketball and tennis at Glynn Academy and also sang in the Glee Club. Pat was also a member of the Pirates of the Spanish Main.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Y. Brown; her brother, Ashley Woods Jr.; her sister, Jerry Woods Meyers and a nephew, Casey Meyers.

Pat is survived by her sons, Jimmy (Nancy), Chris (Kelly), and Kevin (Kristen); her grandchildren, Jay (Lauren), Jeffrey (Ashley), Woody (Jamie), Addie (Tyler), Morgan (Mitch), Chelsea, KC, Alex, Connor, Bailey, and Reilly; her great grandchildren, Jace, Olivia, Camden, Shepherd, Drake, Tate, Sloane, Aubree, Reagan, and Caroline; and several nieces and nephews.

Pat enjoyed her family and supported them whenever she could. You would usually find her at a sporting event watching and enjoying her family and friends. Throughout the years, she also enjoyed playing tennis, her bridge club, the beach and spending time with her friends and neighbors. She was an active member throughout her life of the First United Methodist Church in Brunswick. She sang in the choir, enjoyed the Keenagers, and served on numerous committees. Pat enjoyed her church circle group and being involved with the activities in the church.

The funeral service will be at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with committal to follow in the Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior. Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons.

In lieu of the flowers the family kindly requests that donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles or First United Methodist Church.
