Ingrid D. Hicks, 73, of Brunswick passed peacefully to our Heavenly Father on June 16, 2010. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany on October 9, 1936. Ingrid married her husband Richard in Hanau, Germany on August 12, 1959. She came to the United States in January 1960. She was a lifelong housewife and homemaker, raising four children. Mr. and Mrs. Hicks renewed their wedding vows on August 12, 2009 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Mrs. Hicks was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wilhelm Dannenmann and his wife Greta Dannenmann; her father and mother, Helmut and Lina Dannenmann; her only sister, Elfriede Mosco; and her youngest child, Laura Hicks. Mrs. Hicks was a fabric designer and window decorator for the largest department store in Frankfurt, Germany. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church.She leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years, Richard D. Hicks of Brunswick; son Michael Hicks of Virginia Beach, VA.; two daughters, Susan Hicks Goodin and Karen Hicks Rowell, both of Brunswick; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her best friend Mrs. Pauline Taylor, and her childhood friends, Mrs. Erna Kovack, and Mrs. Ericka Ross.
