Obituary

Jack Alfred Bailey, 81, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2026, in Brunswick. He was born on December 17, 1944, in Glenwood, Georgia.

Jack was a proud United States Army veteran. He joined the Army on October 13, 1966, and honorably served his country. During his military service, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Rifle Expert Badge (M-16). His dedication to his country remained an important part of who he was throughout his life.

On June 24, 1983, Jack married the love of his life, Genevieve (Creamer) Bailey. Their marriage was filled with love, companionship, and many cherished memories. Jack worked as an analyst and lab technician for Pinova Hercules, where he dedicated many years of his professional life.

Jack had many interests that brought him joy. He loved good barbecue, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves, working with computers, and reading financial magazines. He especially enjoyed walking the Sidney Lanier Bridge.

Jack will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Genevieve (Creamer) Bailey; his daughter, Amanda (Bill) Moore of Seattle, Washington; his sons, Richard (Sheila) Manning of Midway, Georgia, David (Rhonda) Manning of Brunswick, Georgia, and Keith (Becky) Manning of Brunswick, Georgia; several grandchildren; three sisters; and one brother. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends who will cherish his memory.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Howard, Grace, and Lucille.

Funeral services with military honors will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Entombment will be private.
