Obituary

Jack E. Harrell, 79, of Brunswick, died on Sunday at his residence. He was born on 10/1/1933 in Lyons, GA to John and Odessa (Underwood) Harrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Marie Lowe; his brothers, Fred (Henrietta) and Vernon Harrrell, his sisters, Lillian (J. W.) Holton, Earline Harrell and Jacqueline Harrell (his twin). He is survived by his 10 children; David Harrell (Molly), Mark Harrell (Tina), Lisa Harrell, Cliff Harrell, Richard Taylor, Jacquie Evans, Mitzi Tollison (Lawton) John Taylor (Sandra) Barbara Deloach (Jim) and Robert McClelland, his sister Mae Andrews and his brother Elliott (Nancy); 17 Grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. Jack was retired from Schwerman Trucking Co. He was a long time vendor at the Brunswick Farmers Market and loved the many years he spent at the Altamaha Fish Camp with family & friends. Family will receive friends Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 3:00 PM, Pastor Michael Gibbs officiating. Pallbearers will be his grandsons; David Lee Harrell, John Robert Harrell, Tanner Harrell, Benji Hutchinson, Jonathan Hutchinson, and Dillon Clark. Honorary Pallbearers are Michelle Beasley and the members of the VFW. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles or The United Way.
