Jack A. Miles, 82, of Brunswick passed away Thursday, June 1, 2006 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. A native of Baxley, GA, he had been a resident of Brunswick since 1946 and retired as a painter from the former Brunswick Pulp & Paper Mill. He was a very active member of Northside Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Hutto Miles of Brunswick; two daughters, Cheryl L. Miles of Midway and Sandra R. Miles of Everett, Washington; one son, Gerald A. Miles of Warner Robbins, GA; two sisters, Annette Green and Mildred Pickren, both of Baxley; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are: Lanier Miles, Keith Miles, Brandon Miles, Benjamin Miles, Doyle Tillman and Charles Hutto. Honorary pallbearers are the members of Men''s III Sunday School Class of Northside Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525 or to the American Cancer Society.
