Jack Riley Nelson, 86, passed away December 10, 2014 peacefully at SEGRMC. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Pauline B. Nelson. Born in Perry, Georgia on April 13, 1928 he made his way to Brunswick in 1962 to open his first automobile dealership, Atlantic Motors, on Norwich Street. He always attributed his business success to his customers and was known for his integrity and honesty. He worked daily prior to his death at his current dealership, Alpha Motor Sales. He was a master mason and a member of Golden Isles Lodge #709 for over 50 years in addition to being a member of the Alee Shrine. He was an avid boater and enjoyed a great day on the water while fishing with his wife. His true love in life was his family. He leaves behind a daughter, Jackie Jordan (Ronnie) along with his son, Ben Nelson (Becky). He worships three grandchildren, Travis Nelson (Leslie), Kelli Jordan and Brandon Nelson (Miranda McCance) along with two great-grandchildren, Jackson Nelson and Rylen McCance. Survivors include two sisters, Anne Williams (Ben) of Eustis, Florida and Agnes Rogers of Paris, France along with several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers include employees of Alpha Motors, Buddy Floyd, Randy Watson, Woody Beville and Alvin Arnold along with Ronnie Jordan, Ben Williams, Brandon Nelson and Travis Nelson. Visitation will be held at Brunswick Memorial Park on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 5:30-7:30 pm followed by the burial services on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 10:30 am.
