James Harley "Dumpy" Beckham, Jr., Born on November 25, 1966, in Brunswick, GA to the late James H. Beckham, Sr. and Barbara Ann Beckham. James comes from a big family. He had five sisters, two brothers, and one lifetime brother. He worked as a fabricator cut man at Ammons Fence Company. Along with that he built shrimp doors and was a sheet metal mechanic. He could build just about anything he put his mind to. One thing that was sure was that he loved his family and he loved dogs. His family was always important to him, he would do anything for them. He is preceded in death by his parents James and Barbara, sister Mary Ellen. He leaves behind two brothers, Billy Beckham, Steven Beckham; a lifetime brother, George Sabin; four sisters; Lori Poppell (Tommy) of Townsend, GA, Penny Carter (Matt) of Jacksonville, FL, Sherri Young (Tommy) of Darien, GA, Rose Goodin (Wesley) of Newbern, NC; and his forever friend, Bonnie Andrews of Darien, GA; lots of nieces and nephews whom were like his own children, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends he considered to be family. A visitation will take place on Friday, July 24, 2020, 6-8 PM, at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is honored to be handling the arrangements.
