James ''J.B.'' Bowles, 49, of Brunswick died Saturday from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He had been a resident of Glynn County for the past thirty years, originally coming from Statesboro and was a kiln operator at the former Brunswick Pulp and Paper Mill, now Koch Industries. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed traveling. He deeply loved his wife, children, and grandchildren and was a member of Brunswick Pulp and Paper Union Local #400. He was a dear friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Polmanteer Bowles; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bowles of Statesboro; a son, James Frederick ''Freddy'' Bowles and his wife, Takako of Naples, Italy; one step-daughter, Lauren E. Goodbread of Brunswick; two sisters, Hollie Campbell-Blair and husband Angus of McDonough, GA; and Liby Williamson and husband Robbie of Pembroke, GA; a brother, Mike Bowles and wife Deborah of Statesboro; two grandchildren, Kaiya and Matthew Bowles of Naples, Italy; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Matthew Bowles. Active pallbearers are: Mike Zinski, Ricky Bennett, Marty Polmanteer, Charlie Baker, Kelly Lackston and Andy Cain. The employees of Koch Industries, a division of Georgia-Pacific, will serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Altama Presbyterian Church, the American Heart Association, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or to a charity of choice. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
