James Irvin Geiger, 71, of Jones, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. James is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Geiger, Hilda Moulton; grandparents, Irvin and Olive Davis; brothers, Michael Geiger and Tim Ogden. Survivors include his four daughters, Stacey Poppell, Brandi Newlin (Jeff), Miranda Geiger, Jamie Geiger (Trey Stephens); grandchildren, Brandon Butler, Danielle Poppell, Halie Poppell, Landon Newlin; ex-wife and friend, Donna Geiger; step-son, Benjamin Smith; sister in law, Hope Ogden; nephew, Timothy Ogden; as well as extended family and friends. He was a proud Mason, hard worker, loved to cook, and had a green thumb when it came to gardening. He was known for his humor and endless picking and teasing. He loved fishing and hunting, but above all things, he loved his four girls more than anything in this world. A private graveside is to be held on Saturday at 11:30 at the Davis Cemetery in McIntosh. Honorary pallbearers include Glenn Townsend, Donald Gordon, Sterling "Tuffy" Bond, Irvin Davis, Timothy Ogden, Benjamin Smith, Fred Mallard, Darrell Young, Trey Stephens, and Nelson Ryan.
