James Westbrook
Gregory
March 18, 1964 – April 29, 2026
James Gregory, age 62, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away peacefully at home with his wife and family on April 29th, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on March 18, 1964, in Norfolk, Virginia, James was the beloved son of Joe and Pat Gregory and loving husband to Heather Nicholson Gregory. He was known for his joyful spirit, love of life, and meticulous nature, and he touched the lives of everyone who knew him.
James is survived by his parents, Joe and Pat Gregory, his wife, Heather Gregory, his sons Brandon (wife Jill), Matthew, and Austin; his brothers Tommy (wife Jodi) Bobby and David (wife Natalie); his grandchildren Lars, William, Hamilton, and Elisabeth, as well as many nieces and nephews.
James was full of life and love, with a joyful and adventurous spirit. He had a deep appreciation for good food and cherished his Saturday tradition of visiting his favorite restaurants - what he affectionately described as, “getting his yum on.” Whether at home or at work, he was dedicated and diligent, known for being meticulous and taking pride in doing things the right way. He loved music, attending concerts, taking cruises, watching the Atlanta Braves & Georgia Bulldogs play, and his undying love for his pets. James dreamed of one day owning his own Class B camper van and traveling around the US with Heather, a reflection of his love for adventure by embracing new experiences.
A celebration of his life for friends and family will be held on Sunday, May 3rd at 4:00 p.m. at Village Creek Landing.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, in James’s memory.
James will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved him.
Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Gregory family.
