Dr. James F. Marshall, Sr., 78, of Townsend died Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at his home. Born in Birmingham, AL, Dr. Marshall lived in Cochran, GA for thirty years where he worked as a dentist alongside his wife, Mary Marshall. Once he retired, they moved to McIntosh County where they spent the remainder of their lives. Dr. Marshall is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Marshall; a brother and sister in law, Robert and Jane Marshall; brother in law, Mahlon Noe; and grandson, Joel Brown. Jim will be dearly missed by his family whom he loved very much. Survivors include sons, Jimmy Marshall (Sandra) and Joe Marshall; grandchildren, Noah Marshall, Ryan Marshall, and Jason Brown; and great grandchildren, Andrew Brown and Brylee Pullen; sister, Judy Noe; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice but his favorite was St. Judes' Hospital. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Services will be private.
