James Harvey Young "Jim", born February 10, 1941 to Harvey Luthur Young and Beulah Irwin Young, went to meet his Lord and Savior April 12, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, John David Young; and a sister, Alice Young Bourg. Jim is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Linda Faulk Young; sons, David DeWayne Young (Hannah) and Victor John Young; daughters, Jamie Young Lovett (Philip) and Kathryn Young; a brother, Jerry Young (Nancy); eight grandsons, David DeWayne Young, Jr. (JD), Anderson Young, Philip Lovett, Jr., Zayne Lovett, Ayden Lovett, Olyver Lovett, Jeremyah Lovett and Jimmy Young; sisters in law, Eleanor Akins and Jackie Brannam; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A special recognition is made to Robert Don Downey, our first foster child, who still calls us Mom and Dad. Jim was United States Navy Veteran having served aboard the U.S.S. Yorktown. He attended Treveca Nazarene College and graduated from Central Florida Junior College in Ocala, Florida. The family will visit with friends beginning at 11:00, Friday, April 19, 2019 at Norwich Baptist Church with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 PM with Dr. Art Cyphers officiating.
