Janice R. Wood, 70, of Brunswick, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at the Southeast Georgia Health System of Brunswick. Janice was a homemaker who lived most of her life in Brunswick. She was an avid birdwatcher and halftime fisherman. She loved to go yardsaling, play bingo and spend time with her dog, Peanut. Janice was a wonderful loving wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her mother, Emma R. Edwards; son, William D. Wood (Austine); daughter, Alice Lynne Smith (David A.); brothers, Ronald, Donald, Dale, and Roger Edwards; 6 Grandchildren; 5 Great-Grandchildren; and several Nieces and Nephews. Janice is preceded in death by her loving husband, William C. Wood and her father, Raymond Edwards. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, April 16, 2015 in the Brunswick Memorial Park Chapel with Pastor Randy Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Ronald Edwards, Dale Edwards, Donald Edwards, Roger Edwards, William D. Wood, Kevin A. Fisher, Sr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Lynn Brewster, David A. Smith, Gail Rash and Lillian Goins. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home.
