Jeannette Dill Shoultz, 86, of Brunswick passed away Wednesday at Sears Manor. She was born in Atlanta, Ga. September 30, 1927 and moved to Brunswick in 1942. During those years here she worked for Leotis & Co. and Builders Supply Corporation. In 1969 she married Lt. Ken Shoultz and moved to New Orleans. After they were married they served in the Navy at Argentia, Newfoundland; Meridian, Mississippi; and Guantanimo Bay, Cuba (which she dearly loved). After Ken's retirement they settled in Jacksonville Fl. for 25 years. They were members of several Square Dance Clubs and the First Baptist Church in Jacksonville. In 2000 they moved to Brunswick to be closer to her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church here, and the Wisdom Seekers Sunday School Class.
She is survived by her daughter, Joan Dill Ligon and son-in-law Johnny H. Ligon; a sister, Ann Parks, a brother, Perry Green, a step-daughter, Linda Shoultz, and a step-son, Wayne Shoultz. 3 Grandaughters, Amy Morris (Doug), Ann Owens (Joe), and Judy Thomas. 3 step- grandchildren, Matthew Clements, Dustin Shoultz (Gina), and Tracey DeAmicis. 10 great grandchildren, Elana DeAmicis, Gavin Shoultz, Kaylan Shoultz, Logan Shoultz, Lindsey Cravey (Nathan), Lauren Hulett (Casey), Leslie Owens, Justin Davis, Brandon Thomas, and Christin Thomas.
Memorial service will be held Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Mausoleum. Reverend Jim Crandall will be officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services in the Funeral Home chapel. The family will be located at 1799 Perry Lane Road, Brunswick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Heartland Hospice or Manna House.
