Jimmy R. Odom, Sr., of Brunswick, passed away Sunday at his residence. He was a long time resident of Brunswick and attended Sterling Church of God. He was a former employee of Babcock & Wilcox, and currently worked at Walmart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Houston and Mary Odom. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2PM in the chapel of the Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Larry Daughtry officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday night from 6 to 8 PM in the chapel of the funeral home. Survivors include 2 sons, Jimmy Ronald (Helen) Odom Jr. of Guyton; Houston Earl (Becky) Odom of Bloomingdale; 2 brothers, Houston Elton (Ernie) Odom of Gordon, Ala., and Earl Monroe (Janice) Odom of Brunswick. 5 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
