Joan D. Anderson, 78, of Saint Simons Island died Tuesday at Magnolia Manor. She was a homemaker, and had been on the Island since January coming from both Sebring, Fl and McMinnville, Tenn. She is survived by her husband, John Wesley "J.W." Anderson of Saint Simons Island; 2 sons, Dickie Anderson (Lisa) of Saint Simons Isl, and John Wesley Anderson (Pam) of Smithville, Tenn; 3 daughters, Nancy Anderson Prince (John) of Sewanee, Tenn, Mary Anderson Wilson (Bill) of Knoxville,Tenn, and Caroline Anderson of Nashville, Tenn. 11 Grandchildren also survive. The family will have memorial services at a later date.
