God says, "I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also" John 14 2-3. That is what happened to JoAnne C. Freeman on October 3rd.

2025. God is always true to his words, and he came to retrieve JoAnne's soul and take it back to heaven to be with him in eternity.

God sent JoAnne to this earth on December 22, 1947. JoAnne was a gift from God to Sarah and Thomas Harris.

JoAnne grew up on Niles Avenue in Brunswick, Georgia. JoAnne attended School in Brunswick and graduated from Glynn Academy in 1965.

She is survived by her husband Bobby Freeman, a brother Wes, two sons Wade (Leslie) and Keith (Lynn) Collins, two granddaughters Sophia and Lilah Collins and a grandson Kellin Collins. JoAnne graduated from Cosmetology school and worked as a hairdresser for a short time and then became a saleslady for Sullivans clothing store in Jesup for 23 years.

JoAnne enjoyed working in the clothing industry where she greeted everyone with that beautiful smile and desire to assist customers from as far away as Macon and Atlanta. JoAnne's personality and empathy showed through like a beacon that radiated with everyone, she encountered both on and off the job. She lit up the room with poise and grace when she walked in, and everyone loved being around her.

Now, she has gone to be with the Heavenly Father and continues being the beautiful lady she was and always will be. "Father, into thy hands I commend thy spirit." John 20:19. "It is finished." John 19:30.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, with Ricky Freeman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior. After the service the burial will be held at Chapel Park Cemetery.
