John Dudley Hibbeler, 61, took his final ride to glory after an extended illness, on Saturday. Johnny was a kind and gentle man who would do anything for someone in need. He had an amazing smile and a huge heart. He was a strong man who would help anyone and in return ask for their hand in friendship. He worked at Sea Island Co. for 32 years, and enjoyed fishing, Nascar and wrestling. He loved riding motorcycles. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, September 7th at The Chapel at 12:00 noon. He is survived by Katy Hibbeler, his wife of 29 blessed and amazing years; sons John Thomas Glenn Hibbeler of Brunswick, and James Michael Henry Hibbeler of Marietta. They loved their father and respected his advice…A sister, Diane Jackson, with nieces Penny McLanahan of Columbia, S.C. and Sandra Harris of Brunswick. He had two great-nephews, John Michael and Liam. He is also survived by a mother-in-law, Liz Carmichael, and best friends Mary and Mark Hanson.
