John "Dayton" Jones, 51, of Woodbine, Georgia, passed away on November 28, 2024. He was born on May 22, 1973, to Lloyd Oscar Jones III and Susan Brenda Jones in Brunswick, Georgia, where he resided most of his life.

Dayton is remembered for his love of fishing, cornhole, golf (and later top golf), karaoke, and his skill as a builder and carpenter. He worked as a mechanical assistant for FieldCore, part of GE Vernova. More than anything, Dayton enjoyed good times spent with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John & Mary Bryson and Lloyd Oscar Jones, Jr., and Betty Jean Turnbull.

Dayton is survived by his son, Austen Jones (Macey); daughter, Ashlyn Jones; parents, Rev. Lloyd "Buddy" and Brenda Jones; grandson, Bentley Gay; brother, Christopher Jones; his loving companion, Carisa "Crissy" Drury; a niece, Lindsey Jones; and a nephew, Justin Jones.

A memorial visitation will be held at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 1:00, followed by a service at 2:00.
