John U. Lowe, 69, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at the Southeast Georgia Health System. John was in the 82nd Airborne as a Military Policeman from 1966 to 1968. He was a Mason and a member of the Pilot Lodge 493 where he was a Grand Master in 1989 and 1991. He was a wholesale vehicle purchaser by trade and loved his cars. John enjoyed golf, shag dancing and Western movies. His grandchildren were the love of his life. He is preceded in death by mother, Jane W. Lowe and his birth father, John Urban Crawford. John is survived by his loving wife, Jerry F. Lowe; father, Roy L. Lowe (Martha); sons, Kevin Lowe (Jennifer) of Kernersville, NC, J. Shawn Lowe (Jennifer) of Peachtree City, GA and W. Blair Matthews (Louise) of Marietta, GA; sister, Martha L. Armstrong; brother, Roy Douglas Lowe (Freda) of Sanford, NC; grandchildren, Matthew and Davis Lowe, Camryn and Brooklyn Lowe, Caroline and Grayson Matthews; and several nieces and nephews.
