John Gregory Moore John Gregory Moore, 69, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Brunswick, Georgia on December 1, 1945 to Jonilee Herrin Garris and William Woodrow Moore. John graduated from Glynn Academy in 1963 before joining the U.S. Army in 1966. He retired in 2008 from Hercules after 43 years, where he worked as a millroom supervisor. John enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, and watching baseball. John and his wife were at every baseball game of their grandson, Taylor, starting out with 'Tee-ball' until now as a BHS High School Varsity player. He is known as "Big Papa" to his grandson's baseball team. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Joy Moore; daughter, Amy Moore Wildsmith (Eddie); grandchildren, Mallory Elizabeth Knight, Taylor Gregory Wildsmith, Sarah Bessent Wildsmith (Josh) and grand-dog, Boomer; other family members, Nell Shadron Crosby, Billy Shadron, Don Shadron, and James Shadron. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am Friday, March 13, 2015 in the chapel of Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Hurst and Rev. Danny Webster officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery at 1180 Cate Road in Brunswick, GA. Active Pallbearers will be Steve Shadron, Michael Conner, Mike Evans, Randy Bunkley, Kerry Shadron, Marin Neal, and Les Evans. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Brunswick High Varsity Baseball Team, Hercules Millrights, Penny Smith, Cappy Pegram, Buddy Miller, and Sonny Livingston. Visitation will be held at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home, on Thursday, March 12, between the hours of 6:00 -8:00pm.
