Johnny Ronnell Eddy was born in Kansas City, KS, on May 30, 1956 to Isiah Eddy and Johnnie Mae (Washington) Eddy. He grew up in Kansas City, MO, and as a young child enjoyed playing baseball and joined the neighborhood baseball team. He attended Central High School and held various jobs before moving to Northern California where he trained to become a testing engineer and later became a part of his brother’s construction company as a testing engineer.

After living in various cities, he decided to settle in Brunswick, GA, where he became an entrepreneur.

Johnny enjoyed karaoke singing and would always entertain at family events. He was a great cook and would prepare a feast for family gatherings.

He was 69 when he peacefully left this world on March 16, 2026. He is survived by his wife Yolanda (Gant) Eddy, his son, Shephen Eddy, his daughters Chennel Eddy and Brittany Eddy, and his sisters, Janice Allen (Albert), Joyce Chandler (Lowell), Priscilla Bradley, Esther Latham (Ira), his grandchildren, Khalia Eddy, Khalani Eddy, Shephen Eddy, Jr, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
