Joseph Cabiness Keaton, Jr, 74 of Townsend went to be with our Lord Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Joseph was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a registered land surveyor for thirty-five years and a member of Darien First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Mary Elizabeth (Beth) Keaton; his children, John Thomas Keaton and his wife Nancy, James Markus Keaton, and Katherine D. Ferreira and her husband Richard; grandchildren, Joseph Cabiness, Carolan, Dimitri, Matthew, Andrew, and Abigail. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Nunnally House 2415 Parkwood Drive Brunswick, GA 31520. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Darien First United Methodist Church. Golden Isle Cremation Center is in charge of the arrangements.
