Joy Joyce Shure, 63, of Brunswick passed away August 6th at her residence. She was a native of Savannah and moved to Brunswick in 1977. She was a devoted and loving Mother and Grandmother. She was well known for her ability to bring happiness to others and help those in need. She is survived by her husband, Alvin Shure of Brunswick; a son, Dolan Carter and his wife, Caroline of Brunswick; a daughter, Catherine Carter Sparks and her husband, Stephen of Cincinnati, Oh; a sister, Jan Brennan of Savannah, and a brother; Pat Joyce also of Savannah. Step children, Stephanie Martin and her husband, Lee of Los Angeles, CA, and Michael Shure and his wife Lauren of Orlando, Fl. Grandchildren, Georgia and Reynolds Carter also survive. Funeral services will be held Friday, August 9th at 11 AM at St. Marks Episcopal Church with burial to follow in the Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. Father Alan Akridge to officiate.
