Joyce Elizabeth Stone, 81, of Darien, GA, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick.

Born in Darien on July 28, 1944, to Eddie and Ruby Falagan, Joyce married the love of her life on the front porch in a green dress with rollers in her hair, so the story goes, and thus began their 64 years of life together.

Joyce was a stay-at-home mom, housewife, grandmother, and great-granny. She loved going to church and reading her bible. She also enjoyed listening to gospel music.

She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Roberts (Dayne), Michele Staten (Charles), and Kailyee Stone; grandchildren, Rachel Roberts, John Blackburn, and Jessica Holmes; and many great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 10 am - 12 noon, Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be in Whispering Pines Cemetery in Darien at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Tommy Whaley officiating.

Pallbearers will be Tim Gardner, Charles Staten, Ronnie Howard, John Blackburn, and Wayne Johnson.
