Judith Lynn Moss, lovingly known as “Judy,” passed away on March 10, 2026, in Brunswick, Georgia, under the care of Hospice of the Golden Isles, with both of her sons, Don James and Rick James, by her side.

Judy was born on January 11, 1950, in Gary, Indiana, to James Moss and Dorothy Moss. She grew up in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she graduated from St. Petersburg High School. Known for her bright personality and sense of humor, she was voted “Most Humorous” by her graduating class.

After high school, Judy attended Floral Design School in Tampa, Florida, where she developed a passion for floral artistry. She later operated a small floral design business and continued to share her talent throughout her life, including creating floral arrangements for her 50th high school reunion.

Judy spent many years working in the office supply business before discovering her love for helping others through volunteer work at All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg. Her dedication and compassion made such an impact that she was eventually offered a full-time position with the hospital.

She was also a proud Girl Scout leader who enjoyed guiding and encouraging young girls. Judy found joy in many hobbies, including sewing curtains and quilts for family, caring for plants, floral design, and sharing adventures with friends and loved ones.

In 2022, Judy moved to Brunswick, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Moss and Dorothy Moss.

Judy is survived by her two sons, Don James and Rick James; her sisters, Patricia Sandor and Margie Hartlein; her brother, Jim Moss; her cousin, Nancy Leone; her nephews, Clint McQuarry and Michael McQuarry; and her nieces, Shannon McQuarry and Ashley Peterson.

Judy will be remembered for her humor, creativity, kindness, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
