Obituary

Karen Delia Warner Clark, 73, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. Born on July 8, 1953, in Jesup, Georgia, Karen entered into her heavenly home on her birthday, surrounded by the love of her family and the faith that guided her throughout her life.

Karen made her home in Brunswick with her devoted husband, Don Clark. She was the beloved daughter of the late Floyd and Oliene Lane Warner.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Don Clark; her son, Chad Clark and wife, Danielle; her daughter, Miriam Cristobal and husband, Travis; her brother, Richard Warner and wife, Diane; her sisters, Sally Lynn and husband, Lonnie, and Libby Madray. She was a proud grandmother to Nathan Clark, Ford Clark, Alexis McGoogan and husband, Tyler, Harrison Cristobal and wife, Kate, Tanner Cristobal, and Dayen Marat. She was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Waverly McGoogan and Wrenley Cristobal, who brought her tremendous joy.

Karen dedicated her career to serving others through the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS), where she worked tirelessly to help children and families in need. Her compassion and caring spirit extended far beyond her profession and touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose greatest joy was her family. Karen was an excellent cook who delighted in preparing meals for those she loved. She was wise and frugal, a faithful steward of what she had, and found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She loved traveling to Louisiana to spend time with her family and treasured the memories made there. She also thoroughly enjoyed riding across the country with her son, creating lasting memories together. Karen loved visiting the mountains, where she found peace and beauty in God's creation, and she enjoyed spending quiet hours with a good book.

Above all, Karen's life was defined by her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. She loved the Lord with all her heart and faithfully read her Bible cover to cover many times throughout her life. Her faith was evident in the kindness, grace, and love she showed to others each day. She leaves behind a legacy of faith that will continue to inspire her family for generations to come.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery.

Though her family grieves her absence, they rejoice in the assurance that Karen is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, whom she faithfully served throughout her life. Her love, gentle spirit, steadfast faith, and the memories she created with those she loved will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
