Kent Clark Rutledge, 83, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away on May 3, 2025, at his home. He was born on December 23, 1941, to the late William Merlin Rutledge and Agnes Helene Amsden in Elkader, Iowa.
After graduating from Elkader High School in May 1961, Kent joined the US Navy in July, where he served as active duty and then in the reserves until his honorable discharge in 1967. He went on to work for Hercules as a laboratory technician until his retirement.
He is remembered for his immense love for his family and passion for cars and working on them, especially his beloved Mustang.
Kent was preceded in death by his parents, William and Agnes Rutledge; as well as three of his siblings, Gary Lee Rutledge, Jacklyn Jean Meyers, and Julie Ann Moody.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna D. Rutledge; children, Carol Ann Buebel (Eric), Katherine Elizabeth Braddock (Milton), William Michael Rutledge (Samantha), and Stephen Marshall Rutledge (Priscilla); his brother, Terry Alan Rutledge (Gracie); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home on Saturday, May 10th, 2025, beginning at 9:00 AM with Fr. Esteban Mallar officiating.
