Kimberly Phyllis Poindexter, 56, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026.

She was a woman whose life was defined by the family she built and the many hearts she gathered along the way.

Family and Legacy

Kimberly’s greatest joy was found in her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by those who will carry her memory forward:

Husband: Freddie Poindexter.

Sons: Howie Elkins (Hillary) and Nick Elkins (Mia).

Stepchildren: Larry Whitt and Channing Poindexter.

Grandchildren: Kimberly was a proud Nana to Maggie Rose Elkins, Maci Elkins, Payton Whitt, Madlyn Whitt, Baileigh Whitt, Leddie Whitt, and Kylie Sue Davis.

Extended Family:

She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Kimberly’s presence in the Brunswick community and her devotion to her large family will be deeply missed. She has left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
