Virgil Lamar Perkins, Jr., 53, of Brunswick passed away Sunday, November 20, 2005 at St. Luke's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida. Born in Donalsville, Georgia, Mr. Perkins had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 11 years coming from Daytona Beach, FL. He was of the Church of God faith and will be remembered as a very loving, caring and giving man that lived life to the fullest. Lamar was an avid NASCAR and Georgia 'Bulldawgs' fan. He is survived by his wife, Beverly H. Perkins of Brunswick; a daughter, Melissa Marks and her husband, Chuck; four sons: Victor Perkins, Kevin Weeks, Eddie Weeks and his wife, Rachael and Dennis Peterson; his parents, Rev. Virgil and LoRae Perkins, Sr.; one sister, LaQuita Propes and her husband, Tommy; three grandchildren: David Tipton, Daniel Tipton and Georgia Weeks; one great-grandchild; his niece and nephew, Summer and Matthew Propes and two very close friends, Sandy Meyer and Melanie Parrish. Active pallbearers are: Paul Latham, John Gorski, Jason Gorski, Jeff Thompson, Butch Hines and Dwight Voyles. Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
