Landon F. Thrower, 72, of Brunswick, GA died on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Southeast Georgia Health Systems. He was born on November 15, 1948, to the late Hollis and Frankie Thrower in Heard County, Georgia, and married Margaret Tyre Thrower on May 1, 1976, at the Faith Chapel on Jekyll Island. After serving his country in the United States Army, he became a member of the American Legion where he served in the Honor Guard while he was able. He proudly participated in several Honor Flights. Landon served his community as a postal carrier where he had numerous canine customers waiting for the treats that he delivered each day. He particularly enjoyed the fourteen years he spent on the route on Saint Simons Island. Landon was preceded in death by five brothers. Landon is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Margaret Thrower; a brother, Raymond Swinson; a sister, Mary Redell; and several nieces and nephews.
