Larry Tucker, 74, of Brunswick, died Friday, December 28, 2018, after a prolonged illness. Larry was born in Brunswick to the late Gaston and Susie Tucker. He was a 1962 graduate of Glynn Academy. After serving four years in the Navy, he returned to Brunswick to reside and to work at Georgia Pacific where he retired as a pipefitter millwright in 2000. He then attended trade school at Altamaha Tech in Jesup. He is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Tucker and his sister in law, Martha Jean Spires. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Linda Tucker; sons, Charles Tucker (Elizabeth Camille) and William Tucker (Michele); grandchildren, Amanda Riggins (Jamie), Levi Gornto, Elizabeth Ruth Gornto, Dylan Tucker, and Emma Tucker; a sister, Shirlene Talley; and multiple nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Mayo Clinic Jacksonville or Pine Ridge Baptist Church. A graveside service will be held Monday, December 31, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Brunswick Memorial Park. Arrangements are made by Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home.
