IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Laura Tukes
Lattany
October 20, 1950 – May 4, 2025
On the evening of May 4, 2025, the Lord called Elder Laura Tukes Lattany to be home by his side. She was born to the late Vergie Mae Dart and Ulysses Tukes on October 20, 1950.
At an early age, she received the Lord and joined The Church of Christ Written in Heaven. Years later, she joined the Holy Band of Inspiration Church of Deliverance, where she was a devoted member.
Throughout her life, Laura worked in housekeeping, retail, and as a beloved daycare teacher. She retired from McDonalds on Highway 17 after eight years. Laura could often be found watching her favorite movies and TV shows, reading her Bible, and keeping up with friends and family on Facebook. She had a passion for music and singing and was part of the Becoming Daughters of Sarah Women's Ministry at Jesus is Real Church.
Laura leaves to cherish her memories her children, Antonio Martin (Sheneka) of Brunswick, Georgia, LouShawnda Tukes of Savannah, Georgia, and Damien Tukes of Brunswick, Georgia; sisters, Ethel Mae Tukes Stevens and Vergie Marie Tukes Muse; as well as 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
