Heaven gained a new angel on Sunday, March 11, 2018, as Linda C. Gamblin went to her heavenly home. Linda was born on April 3, 1941, and spent her life serving the church along side her husband and taking care of her family. She was a loving mom and Memaw, and she will be missed by her family and friends. Linda worked at Morrison's Cafeteria (& subsequently Piccadilly's) for six years and was commonly known as "the pie lady" by many. She enjoyed making people smile along with her. Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Donald E. Gamblin; her son, Mark Gamblin; her parents; four brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Dove (spouse Michael Dove) and Kewanna Groman; her grandchildren, Traci Dove and John E. Dove; her great-grandchildren, Naomi Jean & John Michael Dove; and numerous nieces and nephews. If you knew Linda, you were blessed to experience her unconditional love and caring spirit. Her smile just made you feel welcome and she gave THE BEST hugs! She was always taking care of others and never wanted anyone making a fuss over her. It was her wish to not have any type of funeral or memorial service, so we are honoring her wishes. We would like to thank the staff of Hospice of the Golden Isles and the Senior Care Center of St. Mary's for their wonderful care of our mother. We love you, Momma! You will always be in our hearts. You are finally "home!"
