August 4, 1937 – February 17, 2023
Linda Morgan Pulliam passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, February 17, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Wesley Church on St. Simons Island with the Rev. Jerry Roe officiating. Our family friend Rev. Brad Waters will be giving a eulogy to honor and celebrate her life.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Rafael (Ray) Lewis Pulliam, her nephew Harold (Hal) Morgan. Survived by her brother Douglas Ross Morgan; daughter, Rebecca Lynne Jones, son, Paul Emerson Jones, stepchildren Kimberly Ann Muraczewski and husband Matt, Randy L. Pulliam; grandchildren Lindsey M. Vick (Chris), Christopher S. Pulliam, Matthew T. Pulliam, Kayla Muraczewski, Tyler Muraczewski; great grandchildren, Elliot Claire Vick, Callie Jane Vick, Walter Vick, Jackson Pulliam and Peyton Pulliam, daughter in law Linda Perloff.
Linda was born August 4, 1937 in Atlanta, GA to the late Ross Morgan and Lucile Arnold Morgan. Linda grew up in the home that her father built in smalltown Tucker, GA and graduated from Tucker High in 1955. She then went on to business school.
She spent 32 years as an Executive Administrative Assistant and retiring as a Human Resources manager for the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta until 1992, she and Ray eventually moved to the Golden Isles. She has been a resident of St Simons Island for the past 19 years. Linda was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church on St Simons Island.
Linda also enjoyed an occasional game of golf and loved to watch Ray play tennis. Linda loved to socialize with her group of friends, the Silver Belles and the B's. Linda loved shopping at Chico's and loved her friends at Frederica Café. Linda enjoyed cooking the big meal for our family and loved to decorate her beautiful home. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to each of the doctors and nurses for the professionalism, compassion and care they showed Mrs. Pulliam during her illness. The family would like to ask that Memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA. or flowers will be much appreciated by the family.
